Induced Impotence and Cuckolding
It is sad but true. There are indeed cheating wives who try to make their husbands impotent or make use of the opportunity afforded by his inability to perform. This is called cuckolding, named in honor of the Cuckoo bird that lays eggs in other birds' nests.
Social pressures and circumstances that demonize sex can easily lead to induced impotence where a perfectly normal man becomes incapable of entering a woman. It is a particularly sad and impossible situation, further compounded by the man's lack of insight into the situation. This is often seen in deeply religious families where sexuality is equated with the devil.
